Dr. Jacqueline Rondeau is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation.
As the founder and director of Montclair Memory Clinic, she provides leadership and oversight of the clinic activities. As a neuropsychologist, she provides assessment of the cognitive-linguistic and emotional-behavioral effects of neurological conditions. She also provides cognitive rehabilitation therapy for patients who experience a significant change in function following traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accident, encephalopathy and other medical disorders.
Professional training and educational qualifications:
Christine Zipeto, RN, is the Nurse Navigator for Montclair Memory Clinic, managing patients and offering medical expertise as needed. Ms. Zipeto serves as a care coordinator, educator and counselor for patients and families. She helps patients and families understand diagnoses and treatment plans. Her other areas of expertise include improving patient outcomes through support and monitoring. She coordinates care with other healthcare providers such as Dr. Jacqueline Rondeau as well as neurologists, case managers, counselors, and social workers. Ms. Zipeto helps patients and families find community resources and is always available to answer questions throughout the entire treatment process.
She also serves as a registered nurse at The Access Center in West Orange, NJ and at URA Incorporated, Oncology Patient Management Call Center, in Pearl River, NY. In the past, she was a pediatric oncology transplant nurse at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ, ranked as the #1 hospital in New Jersey and one of the top 30 hospitals in the nation for 2014-2015 by U.S. News & World Report.
A graduate of Rutgers University, she made the Dean’s List and received a Humanitarian Scholarship Award. A graduate of Bergen Community College, she also made the Dean’s List and received a Group Leadership Award.
Monica R. Christian, MS, CCC-SLP, the Speech-language Coordinator at Montclair Memory Clinic, is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist, with over 10 years of experience providing care to children and adults presenting with a variety of speech, language, and cognitive disorders in a variety of different settings including outpatient rehabilitation facilities, home care, hospitals, skilled nursing/subacute facilities, and in private practice.
Currently, Ms. Christian is employed at Hackensack University Medical Center, Pascack Valley, providing outpatient and acute inpatient care with a special interest in the provision of care to adults with neurogenic communication disorders.
Ms. Christian has provided clinical support and supervision to clinical fellows and graduate students within community-based treatment centers and in graduate clinical settings.
She is a member of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) with participation in the special interest division of Gerontology.
Renee Shand-Lubbers, M.S.Ed., is the Mental Health Counselor for Montclair Memory Clinic, providing individualized direct services to patients. Ms. Shand-Lubbers serves as psychometrist, educator and counselor for patients and families. She administers neuropsychological tests, assists with treatment planning and provides counseling services to patients. As a certified Cogmed coach, she also provides cognitive rehabilitation therapy to patients who have attention and working memory issues. Ms. Shand-Lubbers assists with care management and is available to patients and families throughout the assessment and treatment process.
Ms. Shand-Lubbers has previously worked as a classroom teacher and school administrator with a special focus on urban, multicultural and special education.
Ms. Shand-Lubbers holds a master’s degree in education from The College of Saint Rose. There she made the Dean’s List and received a Graduate Assistantship in the Office of Dean of Students, coordinating mental health and wellness support services for the student population. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Albany, where she also made the Dean’s List. With extensive post-graduate education and training in the field of clinical psychology, Ms. Shand-Lubbers is currently pursuing a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at Montclair State University.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
